RenewedSpirit Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 8/12/2026
Last Updated: 8/12/2026
RenewedSpirit ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App") and our marketing website at renewedspirit.app (the "Site"), together with any related services, features, or content (collectively, the "Service").
The Site is a marketing landing page and does not require an account or collect personal information beyond standard server logs. Most data practices described below apply to the App. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
A. Personal Information You Provide
- Account information (email address, display name, password)
- Profile information (optional)
- Purchase information (subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play — we never receive or store your card details)
B. Sensitive Personal Information (Mental & Emotional Health Data)
- Check-in responses (emotions, gratitude entries, notes)
- Conversations in "Pour It Out" (text you enter and AI responses)
- Usage of "Be Still" and other emotional support features
- Bible reading and sleep audio history (if linked to your account)
C. Automatically Collected Information
- Device information (device type, operating system, unique device identifiers)
- App usage data (features used, time spent, interactions)
- Log data and analytics
- IP address and general location (city-level)
D. Notification Data
- Device push notification tokens (only if you enable notifications)
- Your notification preferences, time zone, and last-active timestamp, used to time reminders
E. Information from Third Parties
- Purchase and subscription status from the app stores
- Aggregate usage measurements from our analytics provider
F. Cookies and Third-Party Services on the Site
The Site may load third-party services (such as analytics, web fonts, or embedded content) that set their own cookies or similar technologies in your browser. We do not control these third-party cookies. Please review the relevant third party's privacy policy and use your browser settings to manage cookies.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain the App's core features (Check-In, Pour It Out, Be Still, Sleep, Bible, etc.)
- To personalize your experience (e.g., suggesting relevant Scripture or sleep content based on your emotional state)
- To process subscriptions and payments
- To improve the Service and develop new features
- To send important notifications (reminders, account updates, security alerts)
- To analyze aggregated, de-identified usage trends (such as age ranges, gender breakdowns, and feature usage) for our own internal product, business, and marketing decisions.
- To comply with legal obligations
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
We do not sell your personal or sensitive information.
3. How We Share Your Information
We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers (Categories): With trusted vendors who help us operate the Service, acting on our instructions and contractually obligated to protect your data. These fall into the following categories: cloud hosting, database, and authentication providers; artificial intelligence processing providers; product analytics providers; push notification delivery providers; Scripture text and audio content providers; and app store payment processors.
- Aggregated or De-Identified Data: We may share aggregated statistics or de-identified information (for example, "40% of users in the 25–34 age range use the Sleep feature weekly") with marketing partners, advertising platforms, investors, or the public. This data does not identify you personally and cannot reasonably be linked back to you.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or government request.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (you would be notified).
- With Your Consent: When you explicitly agree to share information.
We do not sell your personal information. We never share your individual emotional health data, check-in content, journal entries, or Pour It Out conversations with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes — only aggregated, de-identified data as described above.
4. Aggregated and De-Identified Data
We may create aggregated or de-identified data from information collected through the App (for example, total users by age range, gender distribution, retention rates, or feature popularity). Once data is aggregated or de-identified so that it can no longer reasonably be associated with you, it is no longer treated as personal information under this Policy, and we may use, retain, and share it for any lawful purpose, including marketing, advertising, research, and business analytics.
5. Artificial Intelligence Processing
Some features — including "Pour It Out," onboarding conversations, and personalized Scripture suggestions — are powered by artificial intelligence. To generate a response, the text you write and limited related context (such as recent messages in the same conversation and your onboarding answers) is transmitted to a third-party AI processing provider on our behalf.
- Your messages are used to generate your response, not to train third-party AI models.
- AI providers process this data as our service provider under contract, not for their own purposes.
- No one at RenewedSpirit reads your conversations in real time.
- AI processing may occur outside your country of residence. See "International Data Transfers" below.
- Because AI-generated content can be inaccurate, it is not medical, psychological, or professional advice.
If you would prefer that your writing not be sent to an AI provider, do not use the AI-powered features. All other parts of the App remain available.
6. Sensitive Information and Your Consent
Check-in responses, "Pour It Out" conversations, and similar entries may reveal information about your emotional or mental health and your religious beliefs. In some jurisdictions this is treated as sensitive or special-category personal information. By choosing to use these features and submit this content, you explicitly consent to our collecting and processing it for the purposes described in this Policy. You may withdraw that consent at any time by discontinuing use of those features or deleting your account.
7. Analytics
We use a third-party product analytics service to understand how the App is used — which screens are opened, which features are used, and where people run into problems. This includes automatically captured interactions and session activity within the App. Text you type into input fields is masked and is not captured by analytics.
We do not use analytics for cross-app or cross-site behavioral advertising. If you would like us to stop collecting analytics about your use of the App, email us at renewedspiritapp@gmail.com and we will opt your account out.
8. Push Notifications
If you enable notifications, we store a device push token together with your notification preferences, time zone, and last-active time so we can send reminders and encouragement at appropriate local times. Delivery is handled by a third-party push notification provider. You can disable notifications at any time in the App's settings or in your device settings, and we will stop sending them.
9. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active, plus a limited period afterward as reasonably necessary to complete deletion across our systems and backups, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and comply with our legal obligations.
- Account data, check-ins, "Pour It Out" conversations, saved items, and notification settings: kept while your account is active.
- After you delete your account: removed from our live systems promptly, and purged from routine encrypted backups within a limited period thereafter.
- Aggregated or de-identified data that can no longer reasonably be linked to you may be retained indefinitely.
10. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Sensitive mental health data is stored with appropriate access controls.
11. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Opt out of certain data processing, including analytics
- Withdraw consent (where applicable)
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights
- Request the specific third parties with whom your information has been shared, where applicable law gives you that right
To exercise these rights, contact us at renewedspiritapp@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law. You may authorize an agent to submit a request on your behalf, and we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
You may also delete your account at any time through the App settings. Deleting your account will remove your personal data, though some anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics.
12. Notice for California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
In the past 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 1, namely identifiers, commercial information (subscription status), internet and app activity, approximate geolocation, and sensitive personal information (content revealing mental or emotional health and religious beliefs). We collect it for the purposes described in Section 2 and disclose it for business purposes to the categories of service providers described in Section 3.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted under the CPRA for providing the services you request. California residents may exercise the rights described in Section 11 by contacting us at the address below.
13. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.
14. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and in other countries where we or our service providers — including our artificial intelligence processing providers — operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect your information in connection with these transfers. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be processed outside your country of residence.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the App or on the Site, or sending an email. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
